  • BEAUTIFUL ISLAND

Here are a few shots of Guam from the air.  The last one is a shot of our church and school.

Just a couple of Jack enjoying his carrots---Wesley is there in the background---I think he's happy that he's not the one who has to eat the carrots---Jack doesn't seem to mind them!!

  • Rain, Rain Go AWAY!!!!

Ok, so it has been raining now for over 2 weeks---when I say rain, I mean the sky is dark, the wind is blowing and the rain is pouring!!!  We have a large "system" right over us---and a typhoon hit the Phillipines so that means we get ALOT of rain--life in the Pacific!  Anyway, my poor boys who are used to being very active outside--swimming, biking etc.  have been going crazy and driving me crazy inside--so, finally today (Saturday) after we had gone to the mall, the toy store and gotten pizza---(only so much to do on an island)---Chase asked if he could go run in the rain---so I figured "what the heck?--it's not gonna hurt anyone."  They had so much fun---they just kept running up and down the sidewalk and yelling!  I think the lady upstairs thought I was nuts, but hey, they were happy
and it burned off some energy!!  So, that's what these pictures are all
about.  They found worms and of course, were so excited.  Then we had
to bring the worms in and put them in a bowl with water so they would
have a good home!  One died and so now I have just one worm swimming
around in a bowl in  my living room!  Fun times at our house!!

Oh yes, and Jack is officially sitting up now---he turns 6 months on
the 11th.  I included a couple of him sitting up--don't mind the runny
nose--I would wipe it and it would just keep on coming--drives me nuts!!

  • Chase had a soccer game on Saturday so I thought I'd post a few
    pictures--He scored 3 goals---he was so excited--it was also a good
time for teaching about being proud and  what being humble is and
ultimately who gives us our talents and who allows us to accomplish
things. It rained almost the whole time--it's been raining since last
Tuesday--oh well, at least it's not snow though it is  funny how it
feels cold to us and the temp. is 79 degrees.  When we lived in WI 79
degrees was a scorcher I guess it just shows how you adapt.

The pictures of Jack  are for the relatives---feel free to copy them
guys!!  Sorry about the spit-up all over his shirt in one of them---Ken
took that one right after he spit-up!!   None of Wes--he was sick all
    weekend!

  • Career Day

It was  Career Day at school today---Chase originally wanted to be an astronaut--he's  been saying for about a year  now that he wants to be an astronaut when he grows up---however, there are no astronaut costumes to be found on Guam.  So, the next best thing was being a soldier!  I 'm sure his  Uncles will be proud!!  As you can see, Wes joined in on the fun too---he actually really wants to be an "army guy" when he grows up.  He always prays for "all the guys in Iraq".  Too cute!

  • These are a few pictures of my family.  The first one is my sister and 3 of my brothers. The 2nd is my sis and bro. Kyle.  The third is my sister's husband Josh.  Kyle and Josh are both serving over in Iraq right now.  They are expected home on or around Nov. 10th.  Please be praying for them.  My cousin, Dustin, is over there also --unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of him.

  • So Happy!!!

As you can see we finally received our new camera!!!  We are so happy!!   So now all of you grandparents and aunts and uncles can stop begging for pictures!  Anyway, we had a good weekend---a birthday party and soccer game took up most of Saturday and of course church on Sunday.

The picture of Chase and Wes with all the food is for Grandma Keith---thank you so much for the package---the boys love to get packages from Grandma---they never know what she will send and are always so excited to open the boxes!!!

  • God

Chase asked me a good question tonight---he said "Mom, who did people serve before Jesus was born?"  I thought several things to myself number 1 being--I'm glad he's thinking about that but also I thought what would provoke a question like that---not quite sure.  Anyway, I told him that before Jesus ever was God was and tried my best to explain that---he seemed to understand--most of it anyway. He's really been into questions about Jesus lately .  He also is into this thing that God is the strongest and smartest and can pick up the big buildings and the mountains.  I'm glad he is thinking of those things and I'm glad we go to a church and school where he gets the right view of God. That God is not out to get us but loves us and is always there for us.  Anyway, just some thoughts tonight.  Talk to you all later!

  • Fun Weekend!!

Hey, I hope you all had a wonderful, restful weekend--well, as restful as those of us with children can get!!
We had a good time this weekend--we took the boys to a "park" that we just love to go to.  It is located right on the ocean and has a path for riding bikes or walking and it also has picnic tables under the shade (of palm trees, of course) and they are right near the beach. So, the boys rode their bikes while Ken and I walked Jack in his stroller and then the boys played at the beach---we love this place so much because we don't have to be right out on the beach with them, the benches are close enough that if they need us we can be there--they just love to dig in the sand and play in the water---it really is relaxing.  I actually took the boys there alot during the summer  because it's easy for me to watch them and have Jack out of the direct line of the hot sun here!  We actually think we are going to have the boys' birthday party there---it should be fun!!  Then Chase had his 2nd soccer game of the season on Sat. afternoon--he is doing so well, he is really aggressive and plays both offense and defense very well!!  He loves it!  Then on Sunday we had what our church calls family fun night--we have church in the school cafeteria and Ken runs all sorts of "camp like" games.  We have pizza and everyone brings desserts or chips etc.  It's alot of fun and relaxing for everyone--and I usually don't have to worry about my kids--esp. Jack-- he gets passed around ---our Bible Institute girls especially like him--he is the chubby, white baby!  They are all from the small Micronesian Islands near us and they come to attend our Institute.  They are so sweet.

Well, anyway, now that I've rambled on about my weekend I do hope you all had a good one too!

Oh my, I almost forgot---you know my last post about Jack and the poop---well, he did the same thing again this morning---it was so gross!!  I think he just eats too much!!

    Have a great day everyone!!

  • HA HA HA

Well, we had quite a laugh at our house this morning---well, I wasn't laughing in the middle of it, but afterward I had a good laugh.  I had put Jack in his swing while I was getting Chase ready for school etc.  Well, he fell asleep then woke up and he was really happy talking and smiling--well, I went to get him out and there was poop all over the whole entire seat--and all over his leg--and it smelled terrible!!  Luckily Ken had not left for work yet so I yelled to him to grab a towel and then he had to pick up Jack and hand him to me---then he had to take the cover off etc.  Well, let me just say that Ken is not good with poop---he has never really been able to even handle the smallest poopy diaper so he was gagging the whole entire time and of course it takes a minute or two to get the whole cover off---he then threw it all in the washer and proceeded to bleach the seat which had poop on it also and the belt clip was filled with it---It was pretty gross!!  Well, then I got Jack cleaned up and was holding him and he decided to puke all over me !!  Yes, it was quite the morning!!  No more incidents after that even though I think Ken is permanently scarred!!!  That's the reason for my title Ha Ha Ha!!!

Well, hopefully our camera will be here soon, it was supposed to arrive this week and tomorrow is Friday and it's not yet here---you never know around here---I will be posting pictures as soon as I get it!!  I can't wait!!!
