UPDATE
Just an update on Wes. The results from the biopsy came back positive--this is what we were expecting. We have been advised by several Dr.'s that the surgery needs to be done there in the States by a specialist. We will most likely be going to Chicago. So, we are now making plans---we have to talk to insurance and find a Dr./hospital etc. There are alot of details . We would appreciate your prayers as we begin a long process. Wes has his good and bad days---we are just thankful we have found the problem and can work on fixing it. Thanks so much for all your prayers and encouragement--it's means so much to us.
Oh yes, and on a lighter note---GO BEARS!!!! WE LOVE CHICAGO!!!

I know this is completely random, but my name is Rebecca, and I'd love to talk to you. My daughter was born with Hirchsprung's and I looked it up on xanga, too see if anyone else posted about it, and it sent me to your site. My site is friend protected, but just hit the send friend request and it will work.

My daughter is doing wonderful. She was diagnosed with it at 3 days old, even though they assumed she had it when she was just a day old. She had her surgery at 6 days, and she is still in recovery. It's scary because we have to dialate her every day, so that the stiching i her bottom didn't close up. scar tissue tends to tighten up.

I'd love to talk more about it with you. Now where are you located, that you have to come back to the states for surgery. and why couldn't they find it before now?

As everyone else has said...we are all praying for you guys. Let us all know when you are going to be in Chicago!!
I pray that Wes will overcome this. I was talking with a friend tonight that said he went through this when he was a kid and is fine today. They even removed his entire large intestin and repalced it with a small sac. God Bless you and your family and please tell Ken I said hello. Oh yeah, even though they are the worst team in the NFL, Go Lions!
It was so good to talk to you Sam! I miss you so much!!! We have to chat on the computer again! That was so fun!
Yes, the boys are sick...ugh! Poor Calvin...he is having a rough time of it! Pat is doing a bit better but is still running a temp...Oh, I pray Emma doesn't get it!!!
