  • Potty Training, Snow and a Christmas Party!!!

Yes, Wesley has decided that he no longer wears diapers!!  HOORAY!!!  I never really tried to potty train him--for 2 reasons the first being that he is a boy and I'm a firm believer that boys are not ready until they are close to 3 and what's the use of trying and second some of you know that Wes has had stomach problems for the last year and a half and the Dr. said not to worry about the potty training until we can do something about his stomach---well, about a month ago (when he turned 3) we finally got a good Dr. and we actually started getting somewhere with his issues so, about a week and a half ago he just started going on his little chair all by himself then I informed him he was too big for his diapers and he decided that he would no longer wear them!!!  I am so thankful and the money saved is going to be so nice!
On to the next thing.... Snow!!!  Yes, we had snow in Guam---well, it was actually a machine in the mall that made snow for all the poor children of Guam who have never experienced it or who don't remember it--my kids--well, Chase does a little though I think his memory might be fading I had seen in the paper that one of our malls was having an interactive light show with music and that it would snow---so of course, we took the kids---I must say the show was great--it's the first time they've ever done anything like that on Guam and as of right not it's the only one on island--the kids loved it but good thing we went to the first show because in the second one the snow machine would not work  so I'm glad --they actually have it every night at 7 and 8 so I think that might be one of our Friday night outings until Christmas!!
Lastly, we had Ken's work Christmas Party on Sat. night.  Ken actually ran the whole show---he did a great job and had people laughing and falling out of their seats---he is such a crazy guy!!!  He's had people tell him that he reminds them of Will Smith---too funny!!  Anyway, it was at the Westin Resort and we had a great buffet dinner and a fun gift exchange.  Ken and I actually had a picture taken---so I'll post that for all of you who have been asking to see us ---believe me it's not that exciting---the kids are much cuter!!
Well, now that I've rambled I'll stop---Hope you all are having a  great Holiday Season so far!!!

    The Light and Snow show...

  • Yay for potty training!!!  I was so happy when Gracie was out of diapers, it was so much easier with only one baby to change, and a lot less laundry (cloth diapers rock  ).

You guys look great, your hair is so pretty long like that!

I think it's so funny the boys were watching snow while in sandles, shorts, and tank tops.  I can only dream of that!

  • Samantha - you guys look great!  Chris and I wish we lived in a climate like yours... I'm not so sure I would miss the snow.  We got our first snow of the year here in the greater Louisville (Kentucky) area.  It was just a dusting, but that's a big deal here.  It's 25 degrees at noon.

It's good to see you are all doing well.  you can check out our site at http://www.mitchells2000.blogspot.com

  • Well the snow is nice here, but you are right. It is such a pain to have to bundle up every time you need to go somewhere. By the time you get to where you are going your baby is dripping with sweat from having the coat on in the car. I was taking Adeline's coat off when I put her in her car seat, but when it is 11 degrees outside it just doesn't seem right to do that. I am glad we don't have this cold of days very often. Enjoy the sunshine. Hope

  • My hair was that long too...yesterday.  Feeling kind of sad that I cut it.  Yours looks great!  We thought of you guys again the other night.  We had another "Couples Monopoly Tournament" at our place.  It was so much fun, but of course, we had to tell everyone about you guys and the "first" Monopoly Tournament - and who could forget those S'more Cookies?!

  • I think every Mommy needs a girl, and every daddy needs a boy. We shall see. I want 3 girls one boy and David wants two of each. We will see what God gives us!!

  • Ummmm...YES you had better see her before she is 15 because I want to see you before I am 44!!!! ugh!!! Oh, and you will for sure have to be seeing her before the wedding! :) hahaha! She still talks about her and Chacer getting married!!! I should tell her that he has moved on...

Ok, we are off to town...again...Emma and I...

Miss you! Wish you were here to go to town with us! Remember those trip of you and I and ALL of the kids!?! FUN, FUN!!

    Love you Sam!

  • Hey, me again...Emma was looking at these pictures and I was asking her who everyone was...she saw the picture of you and Ken and I said "Who is that Emma?" She said, "Aunt Smansa" (how do you spell out how she actually says your name...I don't know?! It was so cute though that she said "Aunt!!" I love it!

Miss you Sam!!! Do you know when the college students are suppose to get in there to Guam? I know that they left Wednesday from here...

Hope to talk to you again soon!!! What are you guys up to your Saturday? Our Friday pm? Jason has been talking about calling Ken...

Well, tonight is the student send off here...I am not sure if I am going to go up to it or not...I don't think I feel like getting the kids are together and then chasing them around up there...I am sure it is going to be crazy!
